Certificate of Analysis (COA) & Lab Documentation

A Certificate of Analysis (identity, lot number, HPLC purity, mass-spectrometry confirmation) is available to qualified researchers on request. The COA documents what the lot is; it does not authorize human use.

What a Certificate of Analysis is

A Certificate of Analysis (COA) is the laboratory record that documents exactly what a specific lot is — its identity, lot number, and analytical results — so you have verifiable provenance for your research records. A COA describes the material; it makes no claim about use.

What every COA includes

Material identity

The compound identifier and, where applicable, molecular formula confirmed for the lot.

Lot number & date

The unique lot identifier and the analysis date, for traceability.

HPLC purity

High-performance liquid chromatography chromatogram and the measured purity percentage.

Mass-spectrometry identity

MS confirmation that the material matches the stated identity.

Appearance & form

Physical description (e.g., lyophilized powder) recorded at analysis.

Storage & handling

The conditions under which the lot should be stored to preserve integrity.

Where the material and intended analysis require it, a COA may also include water/residual-solvent content and endotoxin testing.

How to read your COA

  • Identity — confirm the compound identifier matches what you ordered.
  • Lot & date — record these alongside your experiment notes.
  • Purity % — the HPLC figure documents the analyzed purity of that lot.
  • Chromatogram / spectra — the supporting traces behind the reported figures.

Request the COA for a specific lot

  1. Note the product name and the lot number from your order confirmation or the vial label.
  2. Email info@tmresearchsupply.com with the product and lot number.
  3. Our research desk replies with the lot-specific COA document.
Products are sold for qualified laboratory research use only. They are not for human or animal consumption, medical use, diagnosis, treatment, or administration.
